Continuing Success

Through much of the campaign we have taken advantage of using Social Networking to spread the word of our website. We began by using a service called Twiends which gives you followers/facebook page likes/youtube video views in exchange for the same. In final numbers, this service helped us attain the following:

  • 507 Facebook Page Likes
  • 2000 Follows on Twitter, with 621 return Followers
  • 156 YouTube video views

From day to day, not too often to annoy people into unliking/unfollowing, we would link to our other websites/accounts.

Lastly, Bing & Yahoo have been a mystery as figuring out how to establish presence in search results. We have registered the website with the search engines and still no results.

First Steps To Optimization

In starting this project our first concern was to target the prime user names and URLs for various social networking sites.

  • We began by taking not just one Facebook page name, but multiple versions with different spelling/spacing of "Bedrock Tablets". 
  • Next we created accounts on the various other websites such as YouTube, Flickr, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • After waiting a couple days and noticing that these websites weren't showing up, we realized we had to put content on them before they would display in search results.
  • From there were put links to each website within each website to get cross-referencing from search results.
  • We did our best to expand exposure of our websites by following on twitter, liking on facebook and getting video views on YT.
